High Ratio of Dedicated & Qualified Staffs

We maintain a high ratio of counselors to students. Moreover, we are very selective about our staff. To qualify for K-TKD Summer Camp position, counselors must meet stringent standards and qualifications. Above all, they must demonstrate a total commitment and caring for children.

Only "Korea Taekwondo Masters" teach defensive martial arts for hundred of NYC kids and teens at public & private schools where they transform physical activities into a positive experience that helps kids and teachers get the most out of every learning opportunity throughout the school day.

Our Assistant Directors and Directors are all certified Taekwondo Masters and are trained in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid and Responding to Emergency (RTE) measures.

Q: Can I go on the Water Park Trip with my child?
A: Yes, there will be a trip sign- up sheet for parents to be chaperons. The only time you might not be able to go on a trip is if the there are too many parents that want to go and there is not enough space on the school bus to take everyone. In that case, we will hold a lottery to see which parents go. Parents will have to arrive at trip destination on their own if there are too many parents already attending.
Q: What do my children do if they are NOT going on the class trips?
A: In 2015 Summer Camp, we will have only two trips. All campers and TKD studio students will be invited. Q: If I want to pick up my child early, how can I do that?
A: You can always pick up your child at anytime of the day. We ask that you call us 10 minutes before you arrive so we have time to pack them up and prepare them to go. We will bring your child to the main entrance where you can pick them up. If you are driving, please tell us that you are in a car and we will bring your child out to your car.
Q: Where do I go to pick up my child during dismissal?
A: All pick-up and dismissals will be at the main entrance of the summer camp location. Specific details will be given on Parent Orientation Day. – If you are driving to pick up your child daily just call us when you are 5 minutes from the school and we will escort them out to your car.
Q: What happens if I am late to pick up my child?
A: We are only permitted to stay at the camp site location until 4:00 pm sharp. Our dismissal time is 2:50-3:00pm if you are running late please call ahead of time to let us know. If you are not able to pick up your child before 4pm, we will have to take your child to the Taekwondo studio located on Kissena Blvd and 70th RD and pick up will be there.
Q: Are there any late fees?
A: We understand sometimes traffic is terrible or public transportation encounters problems. For those reasons, there are no fees.
Q: What activity classes will my child be attending during the afternoon part of the camp?
A: Each grade will be assigned a different schedule, assigning them to the activity of the themed week. Schedules will be given to campers on every Monday during the 7 week summer camp.
